Requirements
- Valid and current offshore medical certificate (OGUK)
- Valid OPITO Helideck Operations Initial Training Certificate or Offshore Helideck Assistant (HDA) Initial Training Certificate or Offshore Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) Training Certificate
or
- Valid OPITO Helideck Emergency Response Team Leader Training Certificate

Course Objective:
The objective of the Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) training program is to equip crisis response personnel on Offshore Helidecks with the knowledge and skills required to fulfill the role of a member of the emergency response team on a helicopter deck and in emergency situations. The main goal of the training is for participants to fully understand the role and responsibilities of a Helideck emergency response team member and practice responding to various fire scenarios on the Helideck.
